As part of our commitment to championing the rights and interests of South African citizens, I'M A PATRIOT addressed an open letter to Minister Leon Schreiber, outlining urgent matters impacting our nation. In this letter, we emphasize the need to uphold the White Paper on immigration, advocating for policy integrity and transparency. We also stress the importance of unimpeded support for the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) to combat corruption within government institutions. Additionally, we call for an inclusive, public participation process regarding the Zimbabwean Exemption Permit (ZEP), ensuring that South Africans' voices are heard in decisions directly affecting their future. Through this letter, I'M A PATRIOT reaffirms its commitment to a transparent, accountable, and just South Africa.

This open letter, dated 18 July 2024, from I'M A PATRIOT and Mzansi Voices, addresses Minister Leon Schreiber with commendations and specific requests regarding South Africa’s immigration policies. The letter acknowledges the Minister’s commitment to strengthening immigration enforcement and highlights key areas needing attention, such as the White Paper on Citizenship, Immigration, and Refugee Protection, corruption issues at border points, and the abuse of the asylum system. It also calls for measures to prevent illegal re-entry after deportation and suggests establishing a toll-free reporting line for undocumented immigration violations. This letter reflects I'M A PATRIOT’s dedication to a secure and accountable immigration framework that protects South Africa’s sovereignty and prioritizes its citizens' rights.

In this media statement dated 19 May 2024, I'M A PATRIOT commends the recent actions of the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) and the Hawks for targeting corruption within refugee centers across South Africa. As advocates for transparency and accountability, I'M A PATRIOT calls on the Department of Home Affairs to keep the public informed on the progress of these investigations. The statement outlines recommendations for dealing with corruption, including immediate dismissal, legal prosecution, asset forfeiture, public disclosure, and strengthening internal controls. This reflects I'M A PATRIOT’s dedication to restoring public trust and ensuring integrity within South African institutions.

This media statement, released on 24 October 2024 by I'M A PATRIOT, condemns the Economic Freedom Fighters' (EFF) stance on immigration and deportation. I'M A PATRIOT criticizes the EFF's proposal to document illegal immigrants rather than enforce deportations, arguing that such an approach disregards the immigration crisis in South Africa and undermines national security. The statement emphasizes the failures of the Zimbabwean Exemption Permit (ZEP) and highlights the need for strict border control, enforcement of deportation, and punitive measures against illegal entry. I'M A PATRIOT advocates for a hardline immigration policy to protect South African sovereignty, ensure rule of law, and address corruption within the immigration system.

Open Letter To President Cyril Ramaphosa

I'M A PATRIOT has written an open letter to President Cyril Ramaphosa, expressing deep concern over his administration’s recent policies, including the modernization of visa processes for Nigerian nationals and the skewed trade agreements with Nigeria. These measures not only undermine South Africa’s economic stability but also exacerbate the socio-economic challenges faced by its citizens, such as unemployment, overwhelmed public services, and unchecked immigration.

The letter highlights the glaring trade imbalances that disproportionately benefit Nigeria at South Africa’s expense, the failure to address systemic abuses revealed in the Lubisi Report, and the continued neglect of South Africans' needs. It calls for urgent accountability and a shift in leadership priorities to protect the interests of South Africa and its people.
